5th Swedish Bioinformatics Workshop (SBW2004)

for PhD students and Postdocs

Friday and Saturday November 26-27, 2004

at Lund University

SBW2005 will be in Gothenburg...

The workshop programme will consist of twelve PhD student or Postdoc presentations, one Master's student presentation, seminars from three invited speakers, and a poster session.

Invited speakers

Richard Durbin, Head of the Sanger Institute Informatics Division, United Kingdom.
Birgit Schoeberl, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA.
Carl Borrebaeck, Professor at Lund University Department of Immunotechnology, Sweden.

Note: As an alternative to the poster session, there will probably be possible to join a scientific excursion (visit) to one of the following laboratories:

Biovitrum awards

The Biovitrum Award for the best PhD student/Postdoc speaker and poster will be distributed.

Important dates

Tuesday August 3, 2004: Registration with submission of abstracts opens.
Friday October 1, 2004: Last day for registration and/or submission of abstracts.
Wednesday October 20, 2004: Acceptance of abstracts.
Friday November 19, 2004: The final programme will be fixed. The compilation of all abstracts and the list of participants will be made available no later than this date.
Thursday November 25, 2004: The welcoming reception takes place.
